Welcome to Epocia! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Epocia website and services (collectively, the "Service"), provided by Epocia ("we," "us," or "our"). Please read these Terms carefully before using the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Use of the Service

Epocia grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.

  • The Service utilizes Artificial Intelligence (AI) to generate information and visualizations. You acknowledge that AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies or errors. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any information provided by the Service. You should independently verify any information obtained through the Service before relying on it.

3. User Conduct

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Input or request information that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
  • Generate content that infringes any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, or other proprietary rights of any party.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, computer systems, or networks connected to the Service.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the servers or networks connected to the Service.

4. Sharing Feature

The Service allows you to generate shareable links for the canvases you create.

  • When you share a canvas, the search query and the generated canvas data become accessible to anyone with the link.
  • You are solely responsible for the content you share. Do not share links containing confidential, sensitive, or infringing information.
  • We reserve the right to remove or disable access to any shared content that violates these Terms or applicable law, without prior notice.

5. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content (excluding user-generated or AI-generated content based on user queries), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Epocia and its licensors. Our trademarks may not be used in connection with any product or service without our prior written consent.

You retain ownership of the underlying ideas or topics you input into the Service. However, the specific visualization and AI-generated text produced by the Service are provided for your use under the license granted in these Terms.

6. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. WE MAKE NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, REGARDING THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, OR COMPLETENESS OF ANY INFORMATION OR CONTENT PROVIDED. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK.

7. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL Epocia, NOR ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, PARTNERS, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS, OR AFFILIATES, BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM (I) YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE THE SERVICE; (II) ANY CONDUCT OR CONTENT OF ANY THIRD PARTY ON THE SERVICE; (III) ANY CONTENT OBTAINED FROM THE SERVICE, INCLUDING AI-GENERATED CONTENT; AND (IV) UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, USE OR ALTERATION OF YOUR TRANSMISSIONS OR CONTENT, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE) OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, WHETHER OR NOT WE HAVE BEEN INFORMED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGE.

8. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.
